"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" -Nelson Mandela.
An oft-recited thought in society, nevertheless an undervalued truth.
Maria Montessori Imphal was established in the year 1985. It had its humble beginnings in a rented building, with a vigorous and dedicated team determined to usher change in society, equipped with the most potent weapon.
The fundamental motivation came to fruition by the year 1996 when the school received its affiliation as Secondary School from the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi and about fifteen years later elevated to a Senior Secondary School.
"Deeds not Words" is the motto of the school and children are taught to persevere to live life upholding the school motto. Teachers are now a "freind philosopher and guide" to the young buds. An equal impetus is given to co-scholastic activities as well for an all-round development. Students are given ample opportunity to dispel their creativity keeping in mind that each bud is important, to keep it healthy and strong.

The school has grown in leaps and bounds with nearly a thousand nurtured alumni, carving a niche in the world. When I see what our past pupils are doing and the contributions our faculty and staff are making, I am humbled and thrilled. Yet I know that each of us can and must do much more to meet the colossal challenges we all face in our society today. As John F. Kennedy''s once said, "Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country." In our hand lies the responsibility to stoke and advance society into a realm of success.
